This is a multi disciplinary and multi functioning medical post. I perform a range of duties and positions. Initial employment was to set up and establish the Nursing Post and then maintain a duty of care to all patients, staff and visitors to ensure the facility and all functional aspects comply with relevant standards, codes, guidelines and regulations as set out by the Department of Example. Post establishment - be responsible for its day to day management, along with Clinical Nurse responsibilities in the Aged Care Facility.
 
THIS INVOLVED:
 
  • Sourcing and purchasing or equipment, medication and furniture according to Health Department standards and guidelines
  • Compiling documentation related to policies and procedures, medical records, equipment and asset management emergency guidelines, medication imprest and ordering stock and supplies, clinical forms and documentation, all according to Health Department Standards and guidelines.
  • Involvement in community awareness program
 
ACHIEVEMENT
 
  • Successful compilation of licensing standards for the arrangements for management, staffing and equipment. Compliance was granted after initial inspection and then on an annual basis.
